Age 84 of Stillwater
Passed away surrounded by family and friends. Garth served in the Navy for four years and had a lifetime of Army service. He served two tours in Vietnam and was also an Army recruiter. During his many years of service, Garth received a Purple Heart, Bronze Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Gold Recruiter Badge, 3 Oversea Bars, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Combat Infantryman Badge. Away from his military duties, Garth loved fishing, bowling, and hunting with his family as well as being the youth activities director in the military for football and baseball. His happy-go-lucky personality will be missed by all.
Garth is survived by his children, Cheryl (Mike) Brochman, Terry (Karen) Klein, Patricia (Nick) Ehret; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon Fogel; and sister-in-law, Helen Klein. Preceded in death by wife, Joanne Klein; parents, Herb and Eltha Klein; and brother, Darrol Klein.
Funeral Service 1 PM Sunday, April 7th at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater, with visitation beginning at 11 AM. Private family interment at St. Michael's Cemetery, Bayport.
