At Our Lady of Peace Hospice Care after a short battle with cancer. Born on a homestead in Holdingford, MN. First of 8 born to Frank and Leona Sura. It was there that she learned what would become her life calling; cooking and feeding people. She discovered that she would rather be in a kitchen than in the fields or barn. Jenny moved to St. Paul and began her career working as cook for Peter and Gertrude Ffolliet (Granddaughter to James J. Hill) where she really found her creative flare and love for preparing good food. Around that time she met and fell in love with her lifetime companion, Richard (Dick) Paul. Jenny loved being a mother and homemaker, sewing and cooking for her family. When they moved to Mendota Heights in 1979 she continued her cooking career at Visitation Convent until she was 85 years old. She was greatly loved and appreciated. A devout member of Church of St. Peter. Survived by husband of 62 years, Richard Paul; 4 daughters, Dee (Dan) McNeil, Cindy Paul, Denise (Fran) Phillips, Janine (Greg) Tramp; 8 grandchildren, Clinton, Jacob, Derek, Shawn, Meghan, Lewis, Ethan, Corina; 4 great-grandchildren, Maya, Jaydon, Maycee, Byron. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, September 1, 2017. 11:00 A.M. at CHURCH OF ST. PETER (Historic Church), 1405 Highway 13, Mendota, MN with visitation one hour prior to the Mass in the Main Church. A luncheon will follow the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Church of St. Peter Adoration Chapel, Our Lady of Peace Hospice Care Center or Sharing and Caring Hands, Inc.
