Georgia Schlegle

Georgia Schlegle, aged 67, passed away on March 4, 2024, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Georgia lived life to its fullest, she loved her family and friends well, and always managed to bring joy and laughter to wherever she was. She knew what mattered and lived her life with the principle that her family and friends were important.

She is preceded in death by her brother Dan Schlegle, her mother Vera Schlegle, and her father Barney Schlegle. She is survived by Tom Hautman, her husband and partner of 38 years, her sisters Cindy Tollefson and Pam Schlege; her brothers John Schlegle and Gary Schlegle, as well as nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews who she dearly loved.

Georgia grew up in Spring Valley, Illinois and lived in Denali, Alaska for a period of time, but called Minneapolis her home for the past 38 years. She was an avid bird watcher enjoying all the interesting places it took her. She loved the outdoors especially hiking, paddling, camping, as well as skiing and snowshoeing.

She will be remembered for her generosity, her ability to tell a good story and her contagious laugh. Rest in peace Georgia. You will be missed.

The memorial service celebrating Georgia's life will be held at the Bradshaw Funeral Home, 3131 Minnehaha Ave, on Saturday March 9th at 3pm with a visitation starting at 2pm.
