A Service for Gilbert ?Gib? Sullwold, age 88, of Lake Elmo, will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2006 at 11:00 AM at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Baytown Township, 5274 Stillwater Boulevard North. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 11, 2006 from 4-8 PM at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW corner of Hwy 36 & Co. Rd. 5), Stillwater, and one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will be in the St. John?s Cemetery. Mr. Sullwold died on January 9, 2006. He was born on August 1, 1917 in Lake Elmo, Minnesota to Henry Sullwold and Minnie (Krueger) Sullwold. Mr. Sullwold was a lifelong century farmer who participated in the Minnesota State Fair and the Washington County Fair for over 50 years. He also had an egg delivery route in St. Paul. Gib was known throughout small towns in western Wisconsin for renting roller skates and having skating social events with his brother. He was a lifelong member of St. John?s Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by parents, Henry & Minnie Sullwold; siblings, Ray, Harvey, & Pearl; daughters, Ann & Sally; and son, Dale. On October 25, 1947 he married Viola Riechow. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Viola; children, Joyce Kelch, Henry (Suzanne), & Lucy (Scott) Wegscheider; grandchildren, Heather, Jason (Heather), Jakob, & Anna; great-granddaughters, Alexis & Ashlyn. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
