Ginie Cramer was born on January 17th, 1946 in sunny California and died peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 13th at the age of 75, in Lake Elmo, Minnesota.
Although she left California behind as a young girl, she kept with her a special sparkle in her eye until her very last day that rivaled all the sunshine in the Golden State. Ginie was a spitfire who was always quick to laugh and slow to judge. Her door was always open; She would without exception be willing to sit with you, hold your hand and hear you, or offer advice even if she didn’t expect us to listen.
Ginie had a passion for travel, camping, family, and friends. She has been sober since the early 80’s, and since then has fiercely supported others on their paths to sobriety through volunteer work with Hazelden and elsewhere across the state.
She lived a wonderful life married to her Best Friend, Marv, who loved her so dearly he didn’t even flinch when she requested he dig up and move all of her flowers from her home in White Bear Lake, all the way to Lake Elmo.
Ginie is preceded in death by her mother and father, Gene & Ruby Wortham, her dear sister Jeannie Wortham, brothers Kevin & Jim Wortham, her beloved son Tommy Telschow, and Granddaughter Haily Cramer.
She is survived by her Husband Marv Cramer, her children Joey (Pam) Telschow, Cherie Lind, Penelope (Neil) Precht, Jodie (Gene) Sax, Mary (Roger) Elwell, Phil Cramer, and Sharon Telschow, her sisters Kathy (Jim) Kivel, Colleen Rauschendorfer, and brother Mike Wortham, her 16 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
We will miss her jokes, her quirks, her frequently mis-pronounced words & phrases, but most of all we will miss her warmth and her embrace. Angel, with those angel eyes, can’t wait to see you in Paradise.
