Glen Giese

May 7, 1957 — August 15, 2024

Glen Tracy Giese of Fargo, North Dakota, passed away on August 15, 2024, at the age of 67. Glen departed this world in much the way he lived every day - with a crooked smile and peace in his heart.

Glen was born on May 7, 1957, in Bismarck, North Dakota, and spent his youth in the small towns of Cavalier and Fessenden, North Dakota. He served in the United States Army for two years. He spent time working at a vineyard in Oregon, where he cultivated his love for wine. Afterward, he moved to Iowa for 13 years and then returned to North Dakota in 2004.

Glen dabbled in several professions before retiring in 2023. In retirement, he and his wife planned to open their own business centered around phototherapy and other natural health modalities.

Glen was passionate about fishing, watching sports, reading novels, and playing card games and video games with his family. He was a life-long fan of the Minnesota Vikings and the musical artist Prince.

Glen was proud of his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Giese. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Sailer, his mother, Hilda, his sisters, Audrey (Vic) Nordstrom and Karla (Darrell) Schlagel, his children, Stacie, Steve, and Scott, his grandchildren, Nick and Shaylah, three nieces and nephews, and two rambunctious cats, Jedi and Luna.

His family will remember him for his hearty, infectious laugh, his playful spirit, his sense of nostalgia, and his kind, loving soul.

A private gathering for friends and family is being planned for a future date in Fargo, North Dakota. Memorials preferred to Homeward Animal Shelter in Fargo, North Dakota, in Glen's name.
