ROBINSON,
Glen Moore
Age 73, died Sunday, September 18 at Boutwell's Landing, in Oak Park Heights, MN. He leaves his wife of 49 years, Oree (Hoefeld) Robinson, his two sons, Mark and Luke and four grandchildren. Glen moved from his childhood home of Louisiana to Minnesota in 1971 after receiving his PhD in physical chemistry from Tulane University. He retired from 3M after 32 years of distinguished service as a research scientist with multiple patents and having been published in Scientific American. Glen also taught as an adjunct professor at Bethel College and Seminary. After retiring from 3M, he went on to teach at Sheldon Jackson College in Sitka, Alaska where he chaired the math and science departments. Glen was a resident of Grant, MN for over 40 years where he served on the planning commission. As an Eagle Scout, Glen was active in the Boy Scouts as troop committee member in Mahtomedi. Glen had a passion for Jesus and for teaching adult Sunday school at First Presbyterian Church, Stillwater, MN where he also sang in the choir. A celebration of Glen's life will be Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 10:00 A.M. at FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 6201 Osgood Avenue North, Stillwater. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Northern Star Council Eagle Scout Scholarship.
