Glenn William Ekman was born April 12, 1930 in Minneapolis, MN. His path through life included a stint in the army, several years farming in South Dakota, and 7 years as a Minister (Worker), laboring mostly in South Dakota. In 1966, he married Glennys Bradshaw, and together they started a home in Minneapolis. Glenn went to the University of Minnesota where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Special Education teaching. At the age of 65, he earned his Master's Degree, and went on to study for his Doctorate Degree as well. Glenn and Glennys had 3 children, Philip, Sarah and Priscilla, whom they raised in NE Minneapolis. Glenn taught Special Ed at Minneapolis Edison High School for over 20 years. Glenn loved music, cars and reading, but his main focus in life was his service to God, and spending time involved with his family and Faith. Glenn's wife of 48 years preceded him in death in 2015, and Glenn's final years were spent in assisted living facilities in Ramsey, and Rogers. Survived by children, Philip (Rochelle), Sarah Foss, (Cary Foss) and Priscilla (Johnny) Byrne; 9 grandchildren; beloved brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim (Jayne) Bradshaw, Curt (Caroline) Swenson and Helen (Jon) Grotte; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Service Saturday, March 2, 2019, 11:00 A.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater. Private interment Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation Friday, March 1, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. and also one hour prior to the service.
