Passed away on May 15 surrounded by his loving family. Preceded in death by his father, Gerald. Survived by his wife, Debbie; children, Zach, Sam, and Hannah; sister Diane (John), mother Gloria, as well as many relatives. Greg had a passion for the law and a tireless work ethic; nothing was out of his reach. He graduated cum laude from the William Mitchell College of Law in 1977. Greg is one of the founding shareholders at Heacox, Hartman, Koshmrl, Cosgriff, & Johnson. He was named the 2012 Minneapolis Lawyer of the Year (Naifeh and Smith) in workers' compensation defense, as well as the Best Lawyers in America (Naifeh and Smith) from 1995 to present. Greg is also listed as a "Super Lawyer" in the MN Journal of Law and Politics. Greg loved to hunt and fish with family and friends. He enjoyed spending time outside, watching the Twins, Wild, and Vikings. However, nothing gave Greg greater pleasure than spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed watching his three children participate in various sporting activities. He was loved by many; he touched the lives of many; he will be missed dearly; he will never be forgotten. Visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Sunday, May 19th at BRADSHAW FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd. (NW Corner of HWY 36 and Co Rd 5), Stillwater. Service will be held on Monday, May 20th, at 11 am at ST ANDREWS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 900 Stillwater Rd., Mahtomedi, MN 55115, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Luncheon will follow. Memorials preferred to the Gregory Heacox scholarship fund or the American Lung Association.
