Passed away suddenly. Survived by Janet Palsrud de Lambert, beloved wife of 65 years and children, Guy III (Jane), Janine (John) Holm, Joanne (Mark) Daugherty, Scott (Deborah) and seven grandchildren. Guy graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Civil Engineering. While at the University he was a member of the 1937 Big Ten Championship Basketball Team. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, participating in the invasions of North Africa and Sicily and was awarded the Legion of Merit for directing the reconstruction of the rail yards in Naples, Italy. He retired after 40 years with the Burlington Northern Railroad and its predecessor, the Northern Pacific Railway. During his career he held a variety of positions including Division Roadmaster, Personnel Director, Labor Relations Director and Vice President of Purchasing and Materials. Memorial service Friday, August 24, 11:00 A.M. at AUGUSTANA LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1400 South Robert Street, West St. Paul. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to donor?s choice.
