Hal was born, raised, and worked in Eagan, first as a farmer and later for School District 197. He loved fishing, gardening, and travel, but family was always first. He had a kind and gentle spirit and was well respected for his wisdom & strength. Hal is preceded in death by his first wife, Jane, and sisters Lulu, Ella, and Hilda. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 18 years, Eileen; sons, Larry (Linda), Roger, and Craig (Lisa); other family, Pam (Mike), Brad (Cindy), Paula (Jim), Brian, and Eric (Carla); 7 grandchildren, 19 step-grandchildren, and many other loving family and friends. Service Monday, November 21st, 11:30AM at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 900 Stillwater Road, Mahtomedi. Visitation from 10AM until time of service. Memorials preferred to St. Andrew's Lutheran Church Foundation.
