Age 78, on December 10, 2003, married Geraldine (Jeri) Ann Behrens of St. Louis, MO on May 14, 1948. He is also mourned by five children: Guy of New York, Brant of Minneapolis, Christine (Terry) Carter of Brooklyn Park, Andy (Carol) of Los Angeles, and Zachary ?Zig? (Jeanne) of St. Paul; five grandsons, Matthew (Jessica) Carter and Joshua Carter, Will Schuessler, Nicholas Schuessler and Jack Schuessler and one great-grandson, Anthony Carter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Esther Schuessler of Chicago and one grandson, Paul Carter. Pastor Paul served Pilgrim Lutheran Church ELCA, St. Paul from 1959 until his retirement in 1990. For 11 years in the 1960?s and 70?s he also served the church at large as dean of the English District churches of the Missouri Synod in the Twin Cities. Service Monday 7:00 P.M. at PILGRIM LUTHERAN CHURCH, Prior and St. Clair, St. Paul, with visitation from 5:00 P.M until time of service. Memorials are preferred to Pilgrim Lutheran Church, St Paul, Endowment Fund or to donor?s choice.
