When God said, "Let there be light" I believe he had Heather in mind also. We lost our sunshine on May 26th after defying terminal leukemia for nine years. Heather was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on July 3rd 1952. She arrived in Minneapolis in 1960 and later attended Roosevelt High School and graduated in 1971. She subsequently attended the University of Minnesota and HCMC radiology school. She managed X-ray departments at Children's Hospital, Park Nicollet, Woodwinds and the University of Minnesota. She married George Benson in 1982 and was the proud mother of son, Zachary and daughter, Rachel. She was a strong, genuine Christian who lived the life and shared it with others. She had a wonderful, distinctive, uninhibited and infectious laugh which she invoked easily and often. She was a woman with no guile. She had a forgiving spirit, got along with everybody and loved much. She was preceded in death by son, Zachary; brother, Larry Anderson; and parents, Clarence and Lyda Anderson. She is survived by husband, George; daughter, Rachel (fiancAC., Rick Pellinger); brother, Dwight (Becky); and sister-in-law, Eddie Anderson. Memorial Service, 11AM, Tuesday, June 5th at EAGLE BROOK CHURCH, 2401 East Buffalo Street, White Bear Lake with Visitation beginning at 10AM. Private interment at Rutherford Cemetery.
