Dr. Herbert W. Johnson
Johnson, Dr. Herbert W. Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather Physician and Friend A devoted Christian and active member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Died from cardiac complications on March 21, 2006. A graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School with specialty training in Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. He served as an Army physician in World War II. He skillfully and lovingly cared for the patients in his St. Paul practice from 1951 until retirement in 1985. He was active in a variety of medical societies, serving as President of the Minnesota Association of Internists and an officer in the Ramsey County Medical Society. He was also a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Betty and four loving children; Dr. Stephen (Judy) of Irvine, California, Dr. Douglas (Nancy) of Rochester, Anne (Kari) of Juneau, Alaska and Amy (Todd) Witt of Woodbury and seven grandchildren. Preceded in death by his young daughter, Laurel. He looks forward to seeing her again. Visitation Saturday 2-5PM at BRADSHAW, 678 South Snelling Avenue. Service Sunday 3PM at GLORIA DEI LUTHERAN CHURCH, 700 Snelling Avenue South with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
