Howard passed peacefully at home on September 3, surrounded by his wife, Ruth Marie, and their children. Howard is preceded in death by their daughter, Michelle, and twin brother, Harold. Survived by his treasured wife of 67 memorable years, Ruth; children, Christine Busch (Alan), Debbie Rossini (Joe), Paul (Diane), Greg, and Scott (Jean). Papa to Jenny, Jamie, Brian, Megan, Nicole, Jacob, Alyssa, Kelcy, Alex, and Katie. Great-Papa to Henry, Joey, Tyler, Mallory, and Cameron. Plus, many nieces, nephews, and friends. Howard was a WWII Navy Veteran who served in the South Pacific. Howie and Ruth met by chance, married one year later, and have been inseparable ever since. They were avid travelers, bicyclists, square dancers, and longtime volunteers at Regions Hospital and Maternity of Mary Church. Together they loved life, cookies & ice cream, and enjoyed being with their family & friends. Howard will be remembered as a gentle, kind, and hard-working man. He will be missed dearly by everyone that knew him. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, September 7, 2017, 10:30 A.M. at MATERNITY OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1414 North Dale Street. Burial Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
