61 years; daughter, Stephanie Travis (husband, Stuart) and sons, John (wife, Nancy), Gregory (wife, Caryn) and Michael; sister-in-law, Dorothy Schadegg; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, John and Lucy Tauer; sisters, Marcella Tauer Tschida, Lucille Tauer Flaherty; brother, Raymond; 1 grandson. Served 5 years during WWII. Employed by St. Paul Post Office for 15 years. Owed and operated Arc-Ivy Drive-in Restaurant in St. Paul for 20 years. Member of Cretin H.S. Class of 1934; American Legion 225; VFW 4210, Forest Lake. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, June 17, 10:30AM at the Church of St. Peter, 1250 So. Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation and American Legion Honorary Salute at 9:30AM preceding Mass. Interment and military honors at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake. Reception immediately following graveside services at the Forest Lake American Legion Post #225, 355 Broadway Ave. W., Forest Lake.
