Jake Masterman

Jacob Daniel Masterman, “Jake” age 39 joined our Heavenly Father on December 23, 2021. Jake was born in St Paul on May 24, 1982 and spent his first 21 years in Stillwater, being the 6th generation to be raised on the same family property. Jake loved his family, friends, mudding, wrenching, welding and the outdoors. On October 17, 2003 Jake’s life changed forever when he was in a single car accident that tragically killed two of his closest friends and left him paralyzed as a quadriplegic on a ventilator. Jake lived the next 18 years with a positive attitude, living his best life with the love of his family. He was able to live at home in Harris for the last 16 years with the support of his parents and wonderful nurses.

Jake was preceded in death by his grandparents and Uncle Danny. He is survived by his parents, Kevin and Judy, sister Nicki (Brian) and two beautiful nieces Jesa (13) and Lulu (11), also by extended family and friends.

Everyday since his accident Jake was thankful to be alive, knowing that God sent him back because he wasn’t done here on earth. Jake touched so many lives during his time on earth and now he’s watching over us all.

The family will have a private ceremony to celebrate Jake’s amazing life.
