Age 77 of Lake Elmo, MN
Passed away surrounded by family June 12th 2017.
Preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Mildred Burns. Survived by wife Beth, sons Mark (Tia) children Karina and Ada, and Kevin (Janine) children Archer and Hadley Burns. Also survived by sister Maurita (Gary) Robarge and several nieces and nephews and their children. Jim was raised on a dairy farm near Cornell, WI. He graduated from Cornell HS, and later from UW Madison (BSME and MBA). Most of his career was as a mechanical engineer at 3M in St. Paul. His favorite activities involved skiing, golfing, and spending time with his family. Services will be held at Bradshaw Funeral Home (Stillwater) on Tuesday, June 20th at 11:00am with visitation beginning at 10:00am. Interment will be in Cornell, WI later that day. Memorials can be made to a charity of your choice.
