Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 1, 2007. Preceded in death by parents, Ralph and Carol Canine, and sister Rosalyn Canine Handy. Survived by wife of 57 years, Helen; children, James (Trudy), Robert (Colleen), Paul, Joseph (Sherri), Mary (Todd) Ronnei; 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Graduate of Harding High School, WWII Navy Veteran, serving four years. Attended St. Thomas College and U of M Medical School. Completed his medical intership at Anchor Hospital. Was in private medical practice for 17 years in South St. Paul, MN. Professor at U of M Family Practice 1971-1984. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, June 6, 10:30 am at ST. GENEVIEVE CHURCH, 7087 Goiffon Road, Centerville. Internment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday, 4-8 pm at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Dr at Hwy 96 (one mile west of Hwy 35E), White Bear, and also one hour prior to Mass at the church. Memorials preferred to the charity of donors choice.
