Age 82, of Stillwater, died peacefully on September 16, 2024, from dementia.
Beloved father and friend to son Gregory and daughter-in-law Jennifer, and loving grandfather to Emma and James Scott.
While Jimmy spent most of his life in Minnesota, he would proudly say he was raised in Tennessee. A natural salesperson who as a child once sold corsages to Elvis in Memphis, Jimmy later went on to a successful career in sales and sales management after graduating from the University of Minnesota.
He lived in Stillwater for more than 50 years and was active at the Church of St. Michael. He had an amazing laugh and a generous spirit. He will be missed dearly by those who loved him.
Jimmy is also survived by sister Sharon Hampton (the late Vernon “Bud”), sister-in-law Barbara Ferguson (Mike), brother-in-law Paul Whitebread (Anita Noguera), sister-in-law Mary, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by his adored wife Frances, brother Robert “Bobby,” and parents James and Matilda. Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers please donate in his name to the charity of your choice.
