Was abruptly taken from us on December 19, 2004. Jim was born in Sioux Falls, SD on September 2, 1946. He attended high school at Washington High, also in Sioux Falls, SD where he excelled in track and field. Jim joined the South Dakota National Guard where he served as an Infantry Man. He then joined the Army and proudly served his country abroad in Turkey, the Dominican Republic and 18 months as a Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne in the Vietnam War. On his discharge from the service, Jim moved to Minneapolis, MN where he was employed in the automotive industry for over 30 years. Jim shared his life unselfishly with his family and friends to the fullest. Jim truly whistled through his life and he will be painfully missed by everyone that knew him. Survived by his beloved wife Christine V. Keultjes; daughter, Shannan Cormany-Keultjes; son, Chad Henry Keultjes; former wife, Carol Keultjes; grandchildren, Luke and John; his siblings, Patrick Keultjes, Johana Akkerman, Margaret Keultjes, John Keultjes, numerous family and friends and his beloved German Shepherd, KayRaw Von Keultjes. Service Thursday 11 a.m. at BRADSHAW 1078 Rice Street at Magnolia. Interment, Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 4 ? 8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
