Leigh, James J. Age 82 of Minneapolis, passed away at home. After earning his PhD in physics, Jim taught at the University of St. Thomas as a Professor of Physics from 1961 to 1995. His interests were wide reaching, including anthropology, canoe camping, physics, math, meteorology, home brewing, and astronomy. Any task he did was done well, and anything he pursued was conquered. After retiring from St. Thomas, Jim took up cooking and became very accomplished (of course). He also grew to love spending time with his many granddogs. He is preceded in death by his son, Thomas and parents, Albert and Ella. Survived by his wife of 56 years Dorothy, and children Christopher (Paulette), Valerie (Jeff), and Stephanie, as well as many other loving family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, 10:30 AM at Church of St. Albert the Great, corner of East 29th Street and 32nd Avenue South, Mpls. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at church.
