James Reddick

James Howard Reddick was born May 2, 1954 in Des Moines, Iowa to James and Lorraine (nee Jarnagin) Reddick. He was the youngest of three children and was raised in West Des Moines, Iowa and attended Valley High School until his senior year, when he moved to Ottumwa, Iowa, graduating from Ottumwa High in 1972. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force and the Illinois National Guard. First Sgt. Reddick was affectionately known as Top to his troops and close friends; to his family he was Howie.

Howie was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and his oldest sister.

He is survived by many loving friends and family.

We will miss his stories and his laughter. He had a great love of history, especially military history. He was exceptionally intelligent and loved trivia. From an early age he had a love of art, and was quite good, too.

Per his request there will be no service. Thanks to all of you who have been there for Howie. God bless you all.
