James Sutherland

James Michael Sutherland was born in Utica, NY on December 3, 1950 to Harry and Elizabeth
Sutherland. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on March 15, 2023 at 3:33
PM. He was the age of 72 years.
Jim served in the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant for 4 years from 1973-1977. Jim met Gloria in
October of 1974 and they were married December 22, 1974. After his service Jim and Gloria moved to
Minneapolis. Jim then worked for Thermo King for over 40 years. Jim loved woodworking and spending
time with his family. He was very involved with the Boy Scouts, as he enjoyed teaching life lessons, and
outdoors skills.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria, a daughter Jennifer (Steve), a son Jeffrey (Emily), and 7 grandchildren:
Tyler, Kylie, Dylan, Adelyn, Piper, Cole, and Ryder, and two step-grandchildren: Ashley and Emma; One
brother Mark (Beth), three sisters Christine, Karen (Chet), and Barbara (Michael), and many nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Scott, brother-in-law George, and grandson Cayden.
Visitation will be at Bradshaw Funeral on March 25, 2023 from 1-3:30pm, followed by a prayer service at
3:30pm, located at 3131 Minnehaha Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55406
We will miss him dearly.
