Jane Wiberg

Jane Mabes Wiberg died on June 19, 2023, at the age of 96.  She was born in Kansas City,Missouri to Eric and Pearl Mabes.  She loved theater, acting, singing, gardening and using her creative gifts.

Jane met Glen Wiberg in high school. Jane attended North Park Junior College and received a Bachelor of Arts from William Jewel College. Jane and Glen were married on June 10, 1949, and spent their honeymoon at the University of Oslo In Norway.  From there, they went on to serve five churches.  Jane was a spiritual support and committed to helping Glen with his ministry throughout the many years.

Jane was preceded in death by husband, Glen and son, Carl Eric. She has two daughters, Kathie (Matt) Frank and Sarah (Mark) Betz and her daughter-in-law, Krista Brumberg Stevens. In addition, she is survived by seven grandchildren; Adam(Shalynn)Frank, Abbie(Gabe)Vogler, Anna(Kirk)Shaffer, Justin(Jessie)Meilahn, Hannah Betz, Emma(AJ)Gruber and Ryan Glenn Betz;and five great grandchildren: Liliana and Zachary Frank and Marley, Isla and Greta Jane Vogler.

Thanks to all our family and friends who have shared their memories, comforted us and helped us celebrate the life of a special lady.  Special thanks and appreciation goes to the Care Center of Covenant Living of Golden Valley and to the Park  Nicollet Methodist Hospital Hospice Care Team.  They cared for Jane with compassion and allowed us to say goodbye with dignity.

Jane will be remembered for her outgoing spirit and her constant support of Glen’s ministry.  She will be remembered for her humor, her love of flowers, her generous gift of hospitality, and her flair for fashion.  She treasured her family and friends and loved them all until the end of her life.

Funeral Service Wednesday July 19th at 11am at Salem Covenant Church (2655 5th Street Northwest in New Brighton) with a visitation beginning one hour before. Interment Hillside Cemetery.
