Janet Maurine DuBois of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina died on Thursday, October 16th in Brunswick County Community Hospital, Supply, North Carolina. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 14, 1944, the daughter of the late Dr. Robert J. Keller and Alice Maurine Fawcett Keller. She attended the University of Minnesota and pursued careers in Retailing for Dayton-Hudson Corporation in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Communications for Northwestern Bell of Minnesota and MCI Corporation of Alexandria, Virginia. Most recently she was employed as a data systems technician at the Curves for Women Salon in Shallotte, North Carolina. She was an active member and Registrar for Chapters of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Gaithersburg, Maryland and Wilmington, North Carolina. Surviving are her husband, Leland G. DuBois of Ocean Isle Beach; sister, Lyn Keller and nephew, Kristopher of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Mrs. DuBois retired with her husband to Brick Landing Plantation in Ocean Isle Beach in 1999 from their careers in The National Capital Area. A Memorial Service will be held at Brunswick Funeral Home, 5229 Ocean Highway West (Route 17), Shallotte, NC on Monday, October 20th at 11 am. A second Memorial Service will take place on Friday, October 24th at 11 am at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Drive at Highway 96 (1 mile west of Highway 35E), White Bear Lake, Minnesota, followed by interment beside her parents in the Withrow Cemetery, May Township, Minnesota.
