Janet Caroline Tangen

Janet Caroline Tangen, 78, was born in St. Paul, Minn., on January 3, 1946, to Myrtle (Merzenich) and Harry Anderson. Janet passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Eric; and the love of her life, her husband, Tom. She is survived by the lights of her life, her sons, Kent (Danah) and Mark (Angela); her grandchildren; and adoring Goldendoodle dog, Rusty; along with her brother, Roger Anderson; sister, Judy Johnson; nieces, nephews, and countless friends and loved ones. Janet's family was her greatest source of pride.

As a community volunteer, Janet worked with the local Chisago County court system, delivered Meals on Wheels, and served as a docent at the Karl Oskar House in Lindstrom. She also served as the president of her homeowner's association for several years and was always interested in making things better for her community.

A Celebration of Life for Janet will be on Saturday, October 12th, from 11:00-2:00 pm at Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater, Minn., 55082.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Northwoods Humane Society in Wyoming, MN, or the American Cancer Society.
