Greene, Janice R. “Jan” (Nee: Friedrich)

Age 77 of Stillwater

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 7, 2022.

Things that brought Jan great joy included traveling, camping, card games, various arts and crafts, and most of all spending time with family and friends.  She lit up a room with her beautiful smile!  We are so grateful for how she lived her life with such strength, grace, and positivity despite her illness.

Jan is survived by her loving husband, Tom; daughter, Leah (Charlie Palmer) Recker; stepdaughter, Martha (Vladimir) Bydzovsky; granddaughter, Faith; sister-in-law, Marlene Friedrich; niece, Polly (Dennis) Hildenbrand; nephew, Scott Friedrich; special friend, Kiley Jones.

She is preceded in death by parents, Irvin and Florence Friedrich; brother, John.

Jan graduated from Stillwater High School and retired from Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Special thanks to Devin, along with Lakeview Hospice, and the wonderful, caring staff at Boutwell’s Landing that became such an important part of our family.

Visitation 4-7 PM Monday, March 14th at Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater. Funeral Service 11 AM Tuesday, March 15th at Christ Lutheran Church, 11194 36th St N, Lake Elmo, with visitation beginning one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to MS Society.
