Jason Horacio Santa Ana-White, of Minneapolis, passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2022.
As a lifelong learner, Jason attended Community Ed classes, and listened to audiobooks and podcasts concerning everything from science fiction and human interest stories to technical manuals. He loved travel and spicy food - using Duolingo to learn Spanish and enjoying a wide variety of cuisines. His big heart was evident in his hugs, and family was important to him. He was always game to wrestle and entertain his niece and nephews. Jason had friends both locally and across the country. He will be remembered for his technical brilliance, generosity, and sense of humor.
Jason always rooted for the underdog. He had many interests, but individual rights and bodily autonomy were highly valued.
He is survived by parents, Horacio Santa Ana de la Rosa and Ann White; sister, Alisa (Jeremiah), nephews, Britain and Zealand; niece, Vienna; and his extended family both in the U.S. and Mexico.
Donations may be made in Jason’s memory to American Council of the Blind Minnesota and NV Access .
Memorial gathering to be held June 15th at 11:00am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2730 E 31st St, Minneapolis, MN 55406
