Kempainen
Jean Kempainen born January 11, 1961. Died suddenly in a small engine plane crash on September 10th in Cleveland, Georgia. Jean is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Betty and her nephew, Joel. Survived by longtime companion, Kelly Ossowski; his daughter, Cassandra and Jean's guide dog, Van Gough; siblings, Paul & Kathy, Stephen & Thaise, Jim and Beth, John & Shary, Peter, and her sister, Anne. Jean was a special aunt to her nieces and nephews, Mehgan, Caitlin, Emily, Michael, Allison, Bobby, Amanat, Chris, Matt, Paul, Melissa, Christina, Usha and Tereza. She will also be missed by her extended families in Moose Lake and Sturgeon Lake areas of Minnesota, Serendipity Park in Cleveland, GA and the Minnesota Blind Community. Jean led an active life. She was a member of the MN Blind Dart Association, enjoyed snow skiing, and loved to boat and was not afraid to experience new adventures. Visitation Wednesday September 15, 2004 from 4-7pm with service 7PM at BRADSHAW (McDivitt-Hauge) 3131 Minnehaha Avenue S. Mpls., Mn. A Celebration of her Life will follow the service. Memorials preferred to Guide Dogs of America 13445 Glenoaks Blvd. Sylmar, CA 91342.
