Jean was born December 31, 1921 in Star Prairie, WI. She attended St. Olaf College, graduated from U of M Nursing School and married Vernon Stenseng in 1946. Preceded in death by husband Vernon in 1975, Jean is survived by three children: Winslow (Susan), Harlingen, TX and Stillwater Township, Sandra Bealka (Mike), Stillwater, and Vernon (Martha) Harlingen, TX, 7 grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Gladys Hanson. Jean was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Stillwater for 54 years. She was very active in all areas of the church, including her beloved Ruth Circle. Jean loved travel, gardening, playing bridge, fishing and spent her winters in Harlingen, TX for 25 years where her two sons currently reside. A memorial service will be held at OUR SAVIOR'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1616 West Olive Street, Stillwater on what would have been Jean's 90th birthday, Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. followed by lunch, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to Our Savior's Lutheran Church or the Lakeview Hospice program in Stillwater.
