Jeanne Hollingsworth

d. December 21, 2020

Anoka, MN

Jeanne Marie Hollingsworth was born in Minneapolis, MN on May 8, 1955 and passed away unexpectedly at the age of 65 on December 21, 2020. She lived with her sister in Anoka, MN.

Preceded in death by her parents Gary & Lois Hollingsworth.

Survived by her son Accolon Hollingsworth, sister Julie Hollingsworth, grandson Cai Hollingsworth; nephews Neil & John Olson; other relatives & friends.

She had a big heart and cared so much about people, society, and the earth. She was a healer for decades to the benefit of many. She asked little for herself in life and showing up supportively for people was a way of life for her. Jeanne (known affectionately as Jeanne Cistinna or Little Jeanne) was known to be humble but also fierce. She was little but her determination to protect the environment and stand up for people’s rights was huge.

Community was important to Jeanne. She was active in many. She contributed to the communities she was a part of with all her heart.

Jeanne was an active member of Native American communities. Participating in sweat lodges and dancing at pow wows and Sundance was a way of life for her.  This was a big part of her spiritual life. She loved being part of All Nations Church. Many of her beloved friendships are with friends in these communities.

Jeanne was active in the Unity North Community. This was another big part of her spiritual life. She was one of the community’s healers.

Jeanne was a member of the Ortho-Bionomy healing community. She felt accomplished in earning the advanced practitioner level, but her skills were advanced long before earning the official title.

Jeanne was an older sister. She and her sister Julie grew up close friends. They guided each other through this life and could always count on one another. Jeanne taught her sister plenty as she had plenty to say. They had so much fun going to concerts, parks, and dancing. They also enjoyed sharing stories of their grandchildren. Jeanne became a grandma before her sister and told her being a grandma was the best. When Julie became a grandma, she understood what Jeanne was saying about being a grandma. It is a hoot! The heart expands fully.

Jeanne was her son’s best friend and had a special relationship with her grandson. She was the kind of grandma who went swimming at the beach with them, played on the floor and even wrestled!  Her son and grandson could tell her anything. She was an essential and active part of their family life.

As she passed away on the Winter Solstice (Monday, December 21st) her memorial will be on the Summer Solstice (Monday June 21st).
