Jeanne, (nee Saugstad and formerly Nelson), age 76, formerly of Stillwater was
Preceded in death by husband, Richard; parents; and great-granddaughter, Phalen. Survived by children, David Nelson (Leah), Michael Nelson and Barbara Nelson; step-children, Cathy Maslowski, Dick, Jr. (Kelly), Karen Sanderson (Mark) and Tom; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Gary Saugstad (Susan); sister, Lynn Strodtbeck (Paul); former husband, Gary Nelson; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Jeanne was involved with the Saint Paul Winter Carnival as an ambassador subsequent to Richard's involvement as North Wind and King Boreas. She loved to dance, teach dance, travel and make many friends along the way. Jeanne graduated from Crookston HS, Class of 1959. Service Saturday, August 5, 2017, 12:00 P.M. at BRADSHAW, 1078 Rice at Magnolia with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. Jeanne will be laid to rest with her husband, Richard at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
