Jeremy Ryan Sherman, a young man whose life was filled with joy, generosity, and love, passed away on March 5, 2025, in St. Louis Park, MN. He was 38 years old. Born on September 8, 1986, in Houston, TX, Jeremy's journey touched countless hearts and left an indelible mark on us all.
Jeremy grew up in Minneapolis, MN, where he attended PEASE Academy. He developed a love for the outdoors, especially bass fishing and winter camping in the rugged landscapes of Minnesota and Wisconsin. These passions reflected his adventurous spirit and deep appreciation for the natural world.
A gifted people person, Jeremy had an extraordinary ability to make others smile. Whether through his quick wit, energetic dance moves, or the sheer warmth of his personality, he was always determined to brighten someone's day. His father fondly recalls a time when Jeremy, without hesitation, spent three hours helping a neighbor move heavy boxes and furniture, refusing payment and receiving only a heartfelt hug in return. Such acts of kindness defined his character, as he continually went out of his way to assist family, friends, and even strangers.
Jeremy was deeply spiritual, maintaining a daily gratitude journal and sharing his love of God with everyone willing to listen. His positivity and faith were a constant source of inspiration. He believed in cherishing life's blessings and spreading joy wherever he went.
He is survived by the love of his life, Adrienne Kaufman; his father, Robert Taylor Sherman, Jr.; and his siblings, Alec Sherman, Robert Taylor Sherman, III, Leigh Contreras (husband Robert), and Kate Hays (husband Pete Hays). He is also survived by his aunts, Rebecca Sherman, Robin Brown, and Laurie Ann McGinnis; his cousin, Supora Carr; and his nieces and nephews, Abby Hays, Malloy Hays, Bobby Contreras, Megan Michelle Herzing, and Kelsey Kathleen McGinnis.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda J. Sherman; his paternal grandparents, Mary Lisbeth Sherman and Robert Taylor Sherman, Sr.; and his maternal grandparents, Robert Alan Clark and Peggy Jean Clark Carr.
A celebration of Jeremy's remarkable life will take place on April 6 at the Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, located at 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater, MN. Doors will open at 1 p.m., followed by a service at 3 p.m. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed - link is provided below.
You're encouraged to wear colorful clothing in honor of Jeremy's vibrant spirit. He loved bright colors, and one of his favorite outfits was an American flag jumpsuit. It's easy to imagine him smiling from above, delighted to see friends and family dressed in their most lively attire.
Jeremy's final words encapsulate the essence of his life: "Love your life, smile, dance, care for the ones you love...when you remember me, think of the good times and the laughs. Just know that I will always be smiling down on you-dancing in the stars."
