Jerome P. Driscoll
Age 81 of Lake Elmo, MN
Jerome “Jerry” Driscoll died peacefully on January 12, 2024, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He was 81 years old. Jerry was born in St. Paul, MN on October 24, 1942, and took great pride in being an “Eastsider” for nearly 45 years before moving to Lake Elmo. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Robert “Bob” and Frances (Sack), stepmother Margaret “Marge” (Switala), and brother Joseph.
Jerry was a kind soul who never missed an opportunity to give of his time, knowledge, and skill to help family and friends. If there was a project that needed to get done, he was there. Those who knew him would agree “everyone needs a Jerry” in their life. Above all, he cared deeply for his wife and family, and never missed an opportunity to pridefully share stories about his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Jerry will be so missed by his wife of almost 60 years, Diane (Harrelson), as well as his daughter Trish (Rod) Doede and son David (Kim). “Grandpa Jer” is going to be greatly missed by grandchildren Courtney (Kyle) Sturgeon, Connor (Samantha) Doede, Jerome (Emily) Doede and Zach (Gracie) Driscoll. He was here to see two great-grandsons come into this world – Cal Doede and Charlie Sturgeon – and got to hear the news that great grand-baby Driscoll was on the way.
Countless other family and friends join in mourning Jerry’s passing including his sister Jeanne, brothers Jim (Peggy) and John (Jean), and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A brief Memorial Service will be held at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater, MN, on Tuesday January 30, 2024, at 5:30pm with visitation beginning at 4:00pm. The family invites Jerry’s friends and family to join them after the service for a dinner in Jerry’s honor.
A private interment will be held at Fort Snelling at a later date.
In lieu of memorials, Jerry’s family asks only that you donate your time and talents to make someone else’s life a little easier and brighter. . .just as he did for so many. We will miss him every day. We will love him forever.
