Age 92, passed away February 7th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. His life was filled with love, wisdom, and countless stories that will forever echo in our hearts. He taught many the meaning of kindness, hard work, and resilience. His laughter was contagious, and his presence brought warmth to every room. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy will live on in every cherished memory and every lesson he passed down.
He was a lifetime member of the FOE Eagles 94 Club, foster grandparent for 10+ years, and retired from Junker Sanitation after 20+ years. He was also a Stillwater Police Reserve Officer.
Jerry coached little league football (28 years) for 3 sons and 4 grandsons and played against 2 granddaughters. He also coached baseball, softball, and fast pitch softball, men’s and women’s league. He received many awards for his time spent coaching.
He played on a softball team into his 60’s as well as bowling on many leagues. Later in life, he enjoyed Wii bowling and socializing. Jerry was very proud of being the #1 grandchild on the Fisher side. His home was always open to friends and family.
Jerry is preceded in death by his loving wife Shirley of 62 years, his parents, Van and Mildred Sharon, and one brother, Don Sharon. He is survived by his children, Peggy (George) Peterson, Bruce (AnnMarie) Sharon, Pauline (Steve) Gabler, Paula (Embert) Johnson, Brian (Tamara) Sharon, Barry (Julie) Sharon, and Penny Sebring; 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, brother Larry (Pat) Sharon, and sister Jean (Gary) Davidson, sister-in-law Annie Sharon, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There will be a memorial service to celebrate Jerry's life at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 1st at ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 609 5th Street South in Stillwater with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM. Burial to follow in the spring in Motley, MN.
