Joan Smith

Joan Grandahl Smith, age 73, passed on to next phase of her journey on December 17, 2018 in Minneapolis. Joan, family, and friends, including members of her beloved Congregation, have been blessed with the privilege of being in one another's presence during this time. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend as well as the foundation for the Smith family. Her kindness, patience, and wisdom were shared with those around her. She battled cancer courageously enduring the pain of the disease and treatment with stoic bravery.

Service is at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 22 at STRAITGATE CHURCH, 638 E Franklin Avenue, Minneapolis 55402, followed by lunch. Visitation is from 10:00 am until time of service. Burial is at 1:15 pm at Acacia Park Cemetery, 2151 Pilot Knob Road, Mendota Heights 55120.
