JoAnn Merritt

JoAnn Merritt, beloved wife of Tom Merritt for 58 years, went home to the Lord on February 20, 2025. Born in 1944 in Two Harbors, Minnesota, JoAnn brought kindness and joy to many people throughout her life. JoAnn was a Christ follower for over fifty years, deepening her faith through participation in many Bible study groups. She was generous and often showed her love through cooking and sharing meals.

JoAnn loved sharing her home in Florida and made everyone feel welcome. She had a creative and driven spirit, always coming up with new ideas and projects like the desktop printing business, BUZZWORD, that she owned. She had a knack for finding the best deals and took great joy in sharing her discoveries with others. She enjoyed crafting, especially making handmade cards - many of which blessed friends and family with their thoughtfulness - and had a sweet tooth for chocolate, particularly chocolate chocolate chip cookies.

She loved entertaining, playing card games filled with laughter and friendly competition, and going for rides in her '85 Chrysler LeBaron convertible. JoAnn's caring nature and generous spirit touched many lives.

JoAnn received wonderful care from Optage Hospice and Amira Choice Roseville in her last days. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Tom, and many other friends and family.

A celebration of JoAnn's life will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:15 AM at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear Lake, MN. A visitation will begin prior to the service at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Optage Hospice.
