Joanne Gottwalt

Age 86, passed May 21, 2018. Joanne was born and raised in Duluth, spending the rest of her life in South Minneapolis. She enjoyed volunteering, working on puzzles, and spending time with her family. Joanne was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Elmer; and parents, Martin and Florence. She is survived by her children, Anne, Kevin (Shirley), John, and Michelle (Doug) Angst; grandchildren Andrew (Paula Young), Michael (Corri), Nathan (Brittany Cockerham), and Luke, Ben, and Olivia Angst; great-grandchildren, Oliver, Gavin, George, and Gracelynn Angst; and many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 1st, 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Albert the Great, East 29th St. at 32nd Ave. S, Minneapolis. Visitation from 9:30-11:00 AM before the service. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Scholastica Monastery or St. Stephen's Human Services.
