Christopherson, John M. Age 63 Of St. Paul John passed away April 5, 2006 after a three month battle with stomach cancer. Survived by his three loving children, Brian, Erik (Kirsten), and Leslie; aunt & uncle, Audrey and Bob Kaschke; brother, Fred; sister, Barbara (Tom); and many friends. John grew up in West St. Paul and attended St. Thomas Academy '57-'60, where he captained both the basketball & baseball teams to state titles in 1960, as the most valuable player in the 1960 state basketball tournament. He attended St. John's University '61-'65 where he continued to flourish on the hardwood & diamond. John was a successful owner of a small business, incorporating JMC Company in 1977 selling advertising specialties, today the business is run by his son Erik. The game of golf ignited John's competitive energy for the past 20 years. His crowning achievement happened just one year ago winning the Club Championship at PGA WEST in La Quinta, California where he spent his last four winters. John will be remembered for his generosity, fellowship & sense of humor. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, 10:30AM at ASSUMPTION CHURCH, 51 West 7th Street, Saint Paul. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation beginning at 9AM until the time of Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Saint Thomas Academy or Assumption Church.
