LeVin, John I., Jr. Age 91 of Minneapolis Passed away on June 20, 2007. Preceded in death by loving wife, Betty. Survived by children, Joy Roff (Steve), Ted (Jill), Polly Wright (Brian), 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grand child; brother Don Levin; many loved nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. Nicknamed "Jack", he served as a Naval Officer in the Pacific during WWII. While trusting in God, he helped safely guide his ship through a severe typhoon. Jack attended both Macalester and the University of Minnesota. He became an accomplished industrial engineer, management consultant, and a real estate developer. A 40-year member of Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church, Jack lived out his Christian faith, showing us that the Lord has a purpose for each day. His love for Betty was evident through many years of partnering with her in the wedding photography business. Jack's loving support during her Alzheimer's was a genuine example of Christ's unconditional love. He enjoyed Bible Study Fellowship, was a devoted family man, and an eternal optimist. Always an encourager, Jack's positive approach to life and reliance on God was a blessing to all who knew him. We will miss him dearly. Memorial service Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 1:30 pm. HENNEPIN AVE. UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 511 Groveland Ave. Minneapolis. Family will receive friends following service at Hennepin Church. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
