John McGuire, 66, of Stillwater, passed away July 11, 2013, after a brief illness. John was an iconic member of the Hippie Movement and traveled the country in search of adventure and excitement. In spite of this dynamic lifestyle, his many friends remember him as a kind, generous and loving individual, always ready with a word of encouragement, and always eager for the promise of a new day. John often had few material possessions, but was always ready to share whatever he had with whoever might need assistance or cheer. This gentle spirit will be missed by many, and it is to a kind, understanding and merciful God we commit his soul.
