Preceded in death by father, Anthony D. Phillippi; uncle, Dick Phillippi, and longtime friends, Gerry & Terri Vimr. Survived by wife of 28 years: Mary Elizabeth; children, Lauren and Trevor Phillippi, Cayla, Chelsey and Ryan Vimr; grandchildren, Pierre and Preston Pelts; mother, Jacqueline " Jacque" Phillippi; siblings, Mark (Diane), Marykaye (Dale) Golla and Tom (Jodi); many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and man's best friends, Tucker and Myla.
Graduate of Duluth Central High School, 1976. Longtime employee of NAPA Auto Parts most recently with Cottens' NAPA. Longtime member St. Jerome Catholic Church. A man of unlimited talents. He had a tireless spirit and loved tinkering and putting his meticulous touch into everything he did. Always willing to share his time, talents, stories and roaring laughter. He inspired us all with his dedication to family, hard work, advice and support. John loved the outdoors, life at the cabin and entertaining his family and friends with his secret recipes, mischievous antics, and broad taste in music. Thank you for the incredible memories. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 10:30AM at MATERNITY OF MARY CHURCH, 1414 No. Dale Street. Visitation Tuesday 4-8PM at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 4600 Greenhaven Dr. at Hwy 96, White Bear and 1 hour prior to Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to donor's choice.
