Of Centerville
Passed away peacefully on January 2, 2018 in hospice, St Therese at Saint Odilia. Preceded in death by his son Will and his parents Marnie and William Grahek. Survived by wife Heidi, son Devin and brother Mark. Jon started his law enforcement career with Ramsey County as a deputy sheriff, and then worked for 24 years for the Saint Paul Police Department. He worked in a variety of positions and was Chief Inspector at the time of his death. In December, he received a chief's award that recognized his distinguished career. Jon gave generously of his time and talents to both the communities of Centerville and St. Paul. Jon grew up in Ely, MN and loved canoeing and fishing in the Boundary Waters. Jon has a very positive present and impacted many lives. Memorial service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at ST. GENEVIEVE COMMUNITY CENTER, 6995 Centerville Rd, Centerville, with visitation 4-7PM Monday at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Dr. White Bear, and one hour prior to service.
