Joseph Carroll, MD
Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at age ninety on March 20, 2013, following a short illness. Dr. Von Drasek was born April 23, 1922 in Mankato, Minnesota, the son of Margaret and Joseph Von Drasek. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lois in 1986, his wife La Verne in 2012, and his sister Catherine Peavey in 1980. Dr. Von Drasek practiced family medicine in Mankato, MN for 46 years. He retired in 1990, and relocated to Roseville, MN. He is survived by his four sons, Paul (Lisa) David, Joseph Jr. (Marty), and Fred. Stepson David Olsen (Gloria), stepdaughter Barbara (Ken), grandchildren Jacob, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Lydia, Step grandchildren: Leigh, Michael, Julia (Andy) and Dan and step great- grandchildren Maria and Katherine. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, 11:00 A.M. at WAVERLY GARDENS, 5919 Centerville Rd., North Oaks, Minnesota Memorials, to the charity of choice, are preferred in lieu of flowers. A memorial service in Mankato will be scheduled for later this spring. The staff of Waverly Gardens has our thanks for their kind and loving care.
