Joyce A. Wissink

Age 87, died comfortably in her home Saturday, January 8, 2022 of natural causes.

Formerly of White Bear Lake and Lake Elmo, MN, she is preceded in death by parents, Milo & Agnes Palmer; husband, Robert G. Wissink; daughter, Deborah W. Petersen; and grandson, Marcus Petersen.

Survived by her sister, Carol, (William) Swigart; sister-in-law, Vivien (Mahlon) Wissink; children, Steven, (Tammy) Wissink, and Barbara, (Thomas) Sikora; son-in-law, Dale, (Ann) Petersen, 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many relatives and friends.

A retired homemaker, elementary school teacher and private tutor, Joyce actively volunteered in her church and community.  She enjoyed time at their cabin, reading, gardening, sewing, crafts, canoeing, camping, snowmobiling, summer biking and most of all, grand parenting.

Funeral service will be held Monday January 17, 2022, 1:00 P.M. at White Bear United Methodist Church, 1851 Birch Street, White Bear Lake.  Visitation 1 hour before the service.  Interment at Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis MN immediately after service.

Memorials preferred to the Emma Norton Residence or donor’s choice.
