Judith Anderson Glass, Age 80, of Minneapolis, MN passed away unexpectedly in her home on
July 4th, 2023. She leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a profound impact on
the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born on September 2nd, 1942 in Minneapolis, MN, Judith was the daughter of William Blake
Anderson and Valborg Deliah (Christiansen) Anderson. She grew up in a loving family who
helped develop the strong sense of compassion and empathy which she carried with her
throughout her life. Judith's dedication to her family and her unwavering faith were the
cornerstones of her character.
After completing her education at University of the District of Columbia and receiving a Masters
in Library Science, Judith embarked on a fulfilling career as a Librarian and Social Studies
teacher at Mackin Catholic High School and Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington,
D.C. where she was known for her unwavering work ethic, intelligence, and compassion. Her
colleagues and students alike admired her resourcefulness, dedication, and passion for
promoting education and literacy.  Upon her retirement Judith returned to her childhood
hometown and became an active member in her community, most notably with Calvary
Lutheran Church where she met and later married her beloved late husband, Steve Glass.
Judith always sought to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Whether she was
lending a helping hand to those in need or offering a listening ear to a friend, Judith's kindness
and generosity touched the hearts of many.
Judith had a zest for life and enjoyed traveling to new places and immersing herself in the
beauty of the world. She had a natural curiosity and a thirst for knowledge, always seeking to
learn and grow. Her vibrant spirit and infectious laughter will be dearly missed by all who had
the privilege of sharing in her joy.
Judith leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience. While we mourn her passing,
we also celebrate the incredible life she lived and the profound impact she had on all who knew
her. She will forever remain in our hearts as a beacon of strength and love.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Judith was also preceded in death by her
eldest brother Charlie Anderson.  She is survived by her brother, David (Margaret Hoven)
Anderson; her step-children, The Rev. Kristen Glass Perez and Paul Glass; her niece and
nephews, Kristin Jordan, Aaron Anderson, and Erik (Julie) Anderson; her grand-nieces, Meg
