Passed away October 12, 2014 from complications of Alzheimer's and breaking her hip twice. Julia was a resident of Boutwell's Landing in Oak Park Heights for almost 12 years. Preceded in death by infant son, Tony Rockenbach; brother, Lawrence "Red" Schuster; sisters, Sue Ament, Veronica Gruenhagen, Lorraine Kowalski; and beloved dog, Booter. Survived by children, Bill (Laverne) Mathews of Durant, OK, Carol (Jim) Hanley of Stillwater and Grayceann (Phil) Soukup of Ladera Ranch, CA; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Laird of Inver Grove Heights; brother, Alfred Schuster of Camarillo, CA; many other family and friends. Julia was a former employee of Ancker/St. Paul Ramsey/Regions Hospital. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, October 17, 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at ROSELAWN CEMETERY CHAPEL, 803 Larpenteur Avenue West, Roseville. Followed by interment at Roselawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
