Hoelscher, Jvanne Jeanne Loving Wife and Mother
Age 85, of Oak Park Heights. Passed away peacefully on March 10, 2015. Preceeded in death by her daughter, Jvanne Lynn Hoelscher; her sister Carolyn (Ed) Smithyman; and her parents Homer and Ruth Henry.
Survived by her husband of 63 years, Wallace Lee Hoelscher; her son Hank (Lisa) of Oak Park Heights, MN;, grandchildren Andrew (Rebecca) of Issquah, WA, and Jenna (Brad) Fetters of Media, PA; and, her sister Sheila (Don) Tolliver of Phoenix, AZ along with many nieces and nephews.
Jvanne was a 1952 graduate of the University of Illinois where she was a journalism major, an editor of the Daily Illini, and a member of Mortar Board. Later in life, she obtained her pilot's certification. Her interests included travel, the United Methodist Women, PEO, various hospital auxiliaries and the Embroiderer's Guild of America. She and Wally participated in mission trips to Alaska, Bolivia and Mexico. She volunteered for many organizations. Her energy, intellect and sense of humor will be missed by her family and friends.
Memorial service will be on Saturday, March 21 at 3:00 pm at The Swanson Memorial Chapel at Boutwell's Landing, 5590 Norwich Parkway, Oak Park Heights followed by a gathering. Internment at Robinson Cemetery in Robinson, Illinois at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Animal Humane Society, Development Department, 845 Meadow Lane North, Minneapolis, MN 55422 or the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
