Kaitelynn Doris

Kaitelynn Ann Doris (23) of Stillwater, MN was born in Minneapolis, MN on March 23rd 2001 to Trisha Burroughs and Jeremy Doris.

She unexpectedly passed away of complications from Epilepsy at Regions Hospital, St. Paul, MN on Wednesday, August 7th 2024.

From the very start of her young life, she was a force to be reckoned with. Her journey began in the NiCu at Minneapolis Children's Hospital and for the first 45 days of her life she grew stronger with each breath. She was born with Treacher Collins Syndrome(TCS) a congenital birth defect. She never let TCS or any other obstacle stand in her way from shining her light upon others, always looking out for her friends and family. Kaite stood up for what she believed in using her unfiltered ,tell it like it is attitude. She attended Rockford Elementary Arts Magnet School, Rockford Middle School and graduated from Stillwater High School in 2019.

She was accomplished in Tae Kwan Do earning her a double striped brown belt and was champion in her division in 2010.

She was a Girl Scout and earned several badges along her journey as well as becoming the Pinewood Derby Champion. She loved adventuring and nature. She had four cats (Margo, Oscar, Oreo, Malone) that she loved immensely as well as Gunner her dog. She loved loud music, raves, and dancing like no one was watching!

She was an elderly care worker who loved her job and the clients she worked for.

She shared her adult life with the love of her life Alex Lamers, they traveled and had many adventures together. Kaitelynn loved life and became a hero by donating multiple organs to help save many lives.

She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents Patricia Lema (Gammie) and Mike (Gampie), Leclaire, Ia. Great grandparents Reinold and Lorraine Burroughs, Davenport, Ia. Grandparents Richard and Christine Burroughs, Moline, Il. Grandparents David and Shawn Doris, Lino Lakes, Mn. Grandmother Cindy Wells, Nevis, Mn. Great Aunt Cheryl Tormanen, Howard Lake, Mn. Our loving friend Douglas Crawford, Minneapolis, Mn. Very special future father-in-law Gary Lamers, Stillwater, Mn.

She is survived by mother Trisha Burroughs and father Jeremy (Chrissy) Doris. Sister Harlee Doris, Brothers Shelby and Riley Doris, Bemidji, Mn. Grandparents David and Teresa Tormanen, Rockford, Mn. Great Aunt Toni VanArsdale (Jeme), Rock Island, Il. Uncle Troy (Mary) Stebens, Prior Lake, Mn. Aunt Tamara (Walter) Cooper, Davenport, Ia. Great Uncle Steve (Debbie) Stebens, Buffalo, Ia. Great Aunt Dawn Johnson, Milan, Il. Uncle Davey (Cindy) Doris, Nashville, Tn. Aunt Melissa (Mike) Williams, Park Rapids, Mn. Aunt Sara Simpson, Yuma, Arizona. Uncle Chad Doris, Moundsview, Mn. Aunt Sandy (Randy) Hatch, Mound, Mn. Uncle Brian (Sonya) Tormanen, Moundsview, Mn. Kaite has many, many cousins and extended family that she loved dearly.

A service celebrating her life will be held at Saint Michael Church, 611 3rd St S, Stillwater, MN 55082, on Thursday, September 5th at 11a.m. with a visitation an hour prior.
